Understanding the legislative framework where you practice is every pharmacist's responsibility. At MODUS, we believe that simply studying jurisprudence is often insufficient to prepare health care professionals for the ethical challenges they will face in their careers.
The MODUS Canadian Pharmacy Ethics and Integrity Course is designed to give its learners the best preparation for ethical decision making in their practice. Following a review of their province's legislative framework, learners are presented with scenarios inspired by actual disciplinary cases for them to apply frameworks of ethical decision-making. Instructors review learners' responses and provide one-on-one feedback as learners progress through the modules.
Additionally, learners learn how to effectively advocate for themselves and properly document situations where they feel internal or external pressure to engage in acts of professional misconduct.
